Empowerment Stories: Jacqueline and Resilience

Hello everyone! I'm Jacqueline Duarte. I am 55 years old and originally from Uruguay. I currently reside in Massachusetts, United States. I came here with my husband in search of a better future, and although it has been a challenging journey, I am happy to share how ROSAesROJO has been a fundamental part of my path to health empowerment.

I consider myself a resilient person. Still, a few years ago I faced one of the biggest challenges in my life; a blow to my emotional health: the loss of my father and mother in the same year. It was a devastating moment that made me rethink many things in my life, including my approach to health and well-being.

I met ROSAesROJO, thanks to Joanna from Attitud & Attires, one of the organization's community partners. From the get-go, I was drawn to her focus on empowerment and promoting health and well-being. ROSAesROJO was like that extra push I needed to move forward, to continue growing.

My perception of health and well-being changed radically after learning more about ROSAesROJO. I realized that learning never ends, and I am passionate about that. I shared what I learned with those around me, talking about nutrition, emotional health, and healthy habits. When I see someone who needs help, I don't hesitate to offer them my knowledge and support.

If someone asked me why they should join SuperVive Comunidad, I would tell them that these programs have not only motivated me, but have also transformed my life. I have adopted new habits, such as reading, which I now really enjoy. I have never felt so connected to my health and today I understand that it is my responsibility to take care of myself in all aspects.

In Survive Comunidad I found what I longed for: a space to share experiences, learn from others and grow together on our journey towards well-being. Now, more than ever, I feel empowered in health, ready to face any challenge that comes my way.

This journey with ROSAesROJO has been truly transformative, and I am excited to see how my personal empowerment continues to evolve in the years to come.
